Fighting back! Coombs recognized for pushing back against mandated COVID-19 "compact"

Recently, our emails and other resources hidden behind My Pitt access appeared to be held hostage behind a mandatory COVID-19 agreement. Within this statement, we were asked to assume the risk of contracting COVID-19 through our participation in on-campus activities, which many of us had been participating in for a month or more. One of our graduate students, Rachel Coombs of the Boyle lab, spoke to Science and MarketWatch about our reaction to the compact.
