Founded in 2021, the Peer Mentorship Committee is dedicated to ensure that incoming grad students feel supported and have help in navigating grad school. To fulfill this mission, on a yearly basis the committee assigns each first-year student a senior graduate student peer mentor with care to match the priorities of the mentor and mentee. With an emphasis on data driven approaches, the Peer Mentorship Committee oversees the recruitment of mentors/assignment of mentor-mentee pairs, organizes introductions between said pairs, and monitors the efficacy of mentor-mentee relationships.
