Evguenia Alechine has a PhD in Biochemistry and is currently a science communication specialist working remotely from anywhere in the world and teaching science communication to other PhDs. She has a unique transition path and career trajectory though different languages, backgrounds and overcoming both lack of experience and imposter syndrome. She has extensive experience coaching PhDs transitioning out of academia into medical writing and science communication, and she openly shares the strategies that helped her create a successful and inspiring transition, which was published in Nature Careers in 2019.
